    Castle · 10:00–11:45 (1h45m)

    Conwy Castle

Walk the battlements for views of the bridges and estuary.

A late-13th-century fortress built for Edward I, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Conwy's town walls. Restored wall-walks and towers give views over the estuary and towards the mountains, and there is an on-site exhibition. Spiral stairs and uneven floors make it better for walking children than for buggies.

    Plas Mawr

Richly decorated Elizabethan rooms; quick for younger children.

An Elizabethan town house built in the 1570s-80s in the centre of Conwy, with 17 furnished rooms, colourful plasterwork and a recreated period garden. An audio tour explains daily life in the house. A good covered option to pair with Conwy Castle on a damp day.
