St Mary's Lighthouse

Landmark

St Mary's Lighthouse

A white lighthouse on a tiny tidal island north of Whitley Bay, reached across a causeway at low tide. The surrounding nature reserve has rock pools, a small beach and clifftop grassland, so it works even when the tower itself isn't open.
