Crane Park Island and Shot Tower

A London Wildlife Trust reserve on an island in the River Crane, where an old gunpowder works has become reedbed, woodland and ponds. The 1828 Shot Tower now serves as a small visitor centre with toilets, and there are family pond-dipping and minibeast sessions in season. Free and little known outside the area.
